Provides the details of putting together a complete application for
Social Security disability benefits using the SOAR process.

Who should attend:
Case managers/advocates who assist clients throughout the entire disability application process.
Expectations of Full SOAR Training participants:
- Complete at least 4 SSI/SSDI applications using the SOAR model during the year following the training.
- Track application outcomes and report to your State Team Lead or designee.
- Consult with your trainer, State/Local Team Lead, and/or SAMHSA SOAR TA Center as needed.
All Full SOAR Training participants need to be pre-approved by DHS prior to registering, by contacting Alison Niemi at 651-431-3848 or alison.niemi@state.mn.us

Alison Niemi of Minnesota Department of Human Services will contact all registrants prior to the training to explain expectations of the training.
SOAR Basics trainings are coordinated by Minnesota Department Human Services and MESH. SOAR Basics trainings follow the MESH training rate for 1 ½ days, $60 for MESH members and $80 for non-MESH members. Need based scholarships are also available.
Lunch will be provided on Day 1
